•The Sommelier Certificate Course program is a study of the significant countries and wine regions of the world. We currently cover 18 wine producing countries, and are always expanding.  Each class features at least eight hand selected unique wines; students will taste more than 140 distinctive wines over the 21 weeks, including blind tastings. In addition to the final examination, a series of uniquely designed take home tests are given throughout the course.

•Professional emphasis is on the varietals, viticulture specifics, techniques of tasting, food and wine pairing and service. One class is totally devoted to Spirits. Cooperage and viniculture are included; business and legal aspects and licensing are reviewed in detail.

•The Final Examination includes all topics covered in the course including a blind tasting component. Students who pass the exam are awarded The Sommelier Society of America Certification Diploma.

•Course tuition includes all text books and materials.  Applications must be accompanied by payment for tuition to secure your place.  The Sommelier Certificate Course is held at the University Club in Midtown New York.  Registered students will receive a welcome letter with directions and other details.
